Privacy Policy

The short version

We don't want your data. MemeLabz is a meme editor — not an advertising company, not a data broker. We don't sell or share personal information, we don't build a profile of you, and we don't track you across the web.

The only things that ever leave your device are (1) the image you choose to process, sent to the third-party AI services that actually do the work, and (2) basic crash reports so we can fix bugs. Everything else — your saved memes, your settings — stays on your phone unless you turn on a cloud feature yourself.

The rest of this page is the boring details Apple and Google require.

1. Who runs MemeLabz

MemeLabz is operated by [ENTITY]. Reach us at support@memelabz.app.

2. What we collect, and why

Images you process

When you ask the App to find an original template or remove existing text, your image is sent to one or more of the third-party services listed in Section 3 to do the actual work. We don't store copies on our own servers. The third-party services delete uploads on their own schedules (typically within 24 hours).

Your saved memes

By default, your library lives entirely on your device. If you upgrade to MemeLabz Premium and turn on cloud library, your saved memes are stored in our Supabase Storage bucket and are visible only to you.

Account info (premium users only)

If you create an account for cloud library, we keep the email address you sign in with. We never see your password — Supabase Auth handles that.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and managed via RevenueCat. We get a token saying "this person is a subscriber" — we don't see your card or billing details.

Crash logs and basic device info

Device type, OS version, App version, and crash details. Used only to fix bugs. Retained up to 90 days.

Ads (free tier only)

Free users can watch a rewarded video ad to use AI text removal. Those ads are served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID. You can reset or limit that ID in your device's privacy settings.

3. Third parties we rely on

We use a small set of third-party services to run the App. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Google Vision API — meme template recognition. Policy
• SerpAPI — reverse image search. Policy
• Replicate — AI inpainting. Policy
• Supabase — auth + cloud library. Policy
• RevenueCat — subscription management. Policy
• Google AdMob — rewarded video ads (free tier only). Policy

4. Your rights

You can:

• Delete your saved memes any time from the App's Settings panel.
• Delete your account and all cloud data by emailing us, or from in-App account settings (premium only).
• Reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.
• Ask us what data we have on you, and we'll tell you.

If you live in the EU/UK, California, or another place with data laws that give you specific rights, those rights apply too.

5. Kids

MemeLabz isn't for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.

6. Changes

If we update this policy, the date at the top changes and we'll mention it in the App.
